Why I Refuse to Quit: the Struggles, and the Dream That Never Died. A Year of Resilience.

I can’t believe it’s already been a year. Honestly, I don’t even know where to start because this past year has been full of emotions—highs, lows, and everything in between.

To be completely transparent, I had to pause my business for about ten months. Sales weren’t coming in, I had no steady funds, and every little bit I did have was going toward pop-up events—while I was out of a job and struggling to pay my bills. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life.

But through it all, I never let go of the mission and the dream behind my candle store.

For me, this isn’t just a candle business. It’s a movement—a space created to promote self-care and advocate for mental health. Mental health is often overlooked and underrated, yet it’s something so many of us struggle with silently. Through this platform, I want to change that. I want people to feel seen, heard, and supported.

This business allows me to combine my passion for mental health advocacy with something beautiful and tangible—candles that remind us to slow down, breathe, and take care of ourselves. Each purchase isn’t just about bringing a scent into your home; it’s about supporting a bigger mission. A portion of every candle goes toward donations and initiatives that promote mental health and self-care.

Even when I had to step back for a while, the vision never left me. That’s what keeps me coming back—knowing this is bigger than me, bigger than candles.

I am beyond grateful for everyone who has supported me along this journey. Whether you purchased a candle, shared a post, or simply encouraged me to keep going—thank you. Your support means the world.

This is only the beginning. As we celebrate our one-year anniversary, I’m excited to share that there will be gradual updates to the website, including resources to help support mental health, packaging and self-care even further.

Here’s to growth, resilience, and continuing this journey together. Thank you for being part of this movement, and cheers to many more years ahead.

With gratitude,

Andirena.
